VoIP Support Engineer (Hackensack, NJ)

Summary:

As a key member of the VoIP Engineering and Support group, this individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of VoIP provisioning from start to finish.  This position interfaces and partners with both the sales department and customers to ensure quality pre and post sales technical support for VoIP products. This includes the configuration of the Broadsoft switch, phones, and gateway equipment as well as tier1 through tier 3 level troubleshooting.  Individual must have significant experience working with VoIP technology, and direct experience with the Broadsoft switch is preferred.

General Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Interface with sales/customers to manage all aspects of VoIP provisioning start to finish
  • Configure BroadSoft  Switch and maintain post provisioning
  • Configure all Phones and Gateway Equipment (Adtran, Edgemarc, Polycom, Cisco)
  • Coordinate with NextTone Engineers for SIP trunking accounts
  • Tier 1, Tier2, and Tier3 support / troubleshooting
  • Manage the resolution of all VoIP tickets and pending cases with customers
  • Interface directly with all vendors and carriers for support
  • Management of all customer accounts on Broadsoft Switch
  • New product testing and development (hardware/software)
  • Direct VIP customer support and relations
  • Maintenance and development of VoIP management servers
  • Maintenance and support of all circuits to VoIP customers
  • Direct contact with internal Help Desk to best serve customers

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience working with voice over IP technology
  • Working knowledge of Broadsoft switch strongly preferred
  • Proven customer service and troubleshooting skills
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related field
  • Knowledge of Telecom industry and related terminology
  • Working knowledge of commonly used technologies such as H.323, SIP, and DNS
  • Solid technical writing/documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment

 

Account Executive:    

 
Summary:

This position is responsible for generating new customers and business partners, and must meet or exceed the monthly revenue quota of $4,000 in recurring revenue within designated market. In addition, this individual will maintain effective business relationships to retain recurring revenue, and generate new business opportunities through establish networks.  Successful candidates will be proven at closing sales, and should be solution-oriented with strong data gathering and presentation skills.  Professionalism, integrity, organization, and prioritization skills are required.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Regularly meet or exceed monthly quota in new MMR for data, voice, and other value added services
  • Generate leads through existing relationships, cold calling, and networking
    • Prospect primarily in “lit” buildings, in addition to remote customers
    • Maintain and track an active funnel of sales prospects to achieve consistent results
  • Work within assigned territory and operate in a success based revenue model
  • Provide account management and client service
  • Maintain close business relationships in order to facilitate upgrades and sales of other products, i.e. sell voice services to current bandwidth customers
  • Maintain close relationships with building managers in order to increase Wave2Wave’s brand identity within lit properties
  • Follow established sales order processes to facilitate smooth implementation
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing, Account Management, and Technical teams

 

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of quantifiable, proven direct sales experience in a fast-paced, competitive environment
  • Experience selling a broad range of integrated voice and data products is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships through open customer communications/consulting
  • Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with all employees and support departments in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to deliver effective customer presentations
  • Prior sales training
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or 4 years equivalent experience
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office products; Excel, Word, PowerPoint
