WAVE2WAVE COMMUNICATIONS EXPANDS HIGH-SPEED INTERNET SERVICE IN CONNECTICUT
HACKENSACK, NJ (August 21, 2000) – Wave2Wave
Communications, a High-Speed Wireless Internet Service Provider, today
announced that it is has begun providing service in Shelton,
Connecticut. The Company is deploying a national network and will be in
27 states by the end of this year.
Through its agreement with Objectsoft, the company has established a
"POP" at the Shelton Blockbuster video store and is providing service
to both Objectsoft and surrounding businesses. Wave2Wave Communications
has a global agreement with Objectsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: OSFT) that
gives the Company access to over 7,500 locations worldwide, allowing it
to begin establishing a national presence immediately.
"We will be deploying point-to-point and point-to-multi-point
connections from the Shelton "POP", allowing us to expand our reach
into surrounding cities and significantly increase our customer base in
this market", said Steven Asman, President and CEO. "We are using a
combination of towers, building rooftops and blockbuster video stores
to deploy our network. Our rollout plan is on schedule and we will be
in 27 states by the end of this year".
